1. Why is there no sound coming from my car stereo?
Please check that the correct audio output is selected and the volume isn’t muted. If you’re using FM mode, ensure both devices are tuned to the same frequency. Restarting the unit and your phone can also help restore sound.
2. How can I fix connection issues with Wireless Android Auto?
Confirm that your phone has the Mirroring or Android Auto app installed and configured correctly. Check that Wi-Fi is enabled and includes “car” in its name. If it still won’t connect, forget the device on your phone and reconnect.
3. Why isn’t MirrorLink working on my device?
Turn off your phone’s Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, restart it, and reconnect MirrorLink. Make sure permissions are granted for screen sharing and the app is active in the background.
4. Can I watch Netflix or other streaming apps through CarPlay or MirrorLink?
Due to system restrictions, apps like Netflix and Peacock can’t be displayed directly. To stream video, you’ll need our optional AI Box, which supports online video playback.
5. Why can’t my phone connect to Bluetooth?
Ensure the unit is in pairing mode and visible. Delete old connections from your phone and try again. If the issue continues, reset the multimedia system before reconnecting.
6. What should I do if the speaker volume is too low?
Switch to another audio output channel under Audio Options, and check your car’s volume and balance settings to ensure they’re not limiting sound.
7. Why is there no sound on FM transmission?
Make sure both your car’s radio and the unit are tuned to the same FM frequency. Try a different, unused frequency if interference occurs.
8. What should I do if the screen freezes or stops responding?
Turn the unit off completely, wait a few seconds, and power it back on. This simple restart usually resolves temporary system issues.
9. How do I change the startup (boot) logo?
Save your logo image (1024×600 px, named “stalog0.jpg”) in a folder called “update” on a TF card. Insert it into the unit while powered on, and the logo will update automatically.
10. Why does the CarPlay unit turn off by itself?
Some vehicles cut power to the cigarette lighter when the ignition is off. This is normal. You can connect to a constant 12V source or restart it manually when needed.
